Cenex C-Stores Receive High-Speed Payment Solution
EXETER, N.H. -- In a joint announcement, Abierto Networks and EchoSat Communications completed the first phase of a program that will deliver powerful, high-speed payment solutions to nearly 1,600 Cenex-branded retail sites across the nation.
"Credit card and ATM transaction times have been reduced dramatically," Andrew Ernst, product consultant, CHS Payment Solutions, said in a released statement. "With the Abierto-EchoSat solution, our retailers have gained a true competitive advantage -- the ability to process customer transactions efficiently, securely and reliably while still providing the highest level of customer service to their clients."
In order to deliver a turnkey solution enabling high-speed transactions (point-of-sale, ATM and related EFT transactions) over standard broadband Internet connections, the companies worked closely with CHS Inc., of Inver Grove Heights, Minn., owners of the Cenex brand.
A cutting-edge integrated platform provided the ability for all parties to trade information in real time, while activating and monitoring equipment and services at several hundred locations over a short period of time.
