Cenex, Cabela's Renew Loyalty Partnership for Five Years

ST. PAUL, Minn. – CHS Inc. signed an agreement to renew the loyalty partnership between its Cenex brand and the outdoor specialty retailer Cabela's for another five years. The new agreement extends the program through 2019.

"At a time when other co-branded programs are declining or being discontinued, ours is growing, primarily because of great synergy between the Cenex and Cabela's brands," said Jay Debertin, executive vice president and chief operating officer of CHS. "Bringing together these strong brands has attracted more than 135,000 new customers to Cenex retail locations and generated more than $363.5 million in sales for Cenex retailers, while saving them over $914,000 in credit card processing fees."

Under this exclusive partnership, Cenex is the only petroleum brand that can offer double Cabela's CLUB points, which are redeemable for free outdoor gear, and a Cabela's CLUB Visa card to its customers. Since the partnership began in 2009, Cenex customers have earned 7.3 million reward dollars.

"We are thrilled to extend the partnership between Cabela's and CHS," said Cabela's CEO Tommy Millner. "This partnership has generated positive results for both brands and, more importantly, for our loyal customers. Renewing this agreement strengthens our commitment to serve CLUB members and ensures we will continue to reward them for their loyalty and passion for the outdoors."

CHS supports the Cabela's incentive program at no cost to its Cenex retailers, the company noted. Complimentary merchandising kits and local store marketing tools are also provided to Cenex retailers.

CHS is owned by farmers and ranchers and is a provider of renewable energy, grain marketing services and crop nutrients. The company operates petroleum refineries and pipelines, and manufactures, markets and distributes the Cenex brand of refined fuels, lubricants, propane and renewable energy products.
