Chevron Exec to Address California's Energy Needs

LOS ANGELES -- Chevron Corp.'s Chairman and CEO Dave O'Reilly will give residents here a view of California's energy environment when he presents his "Securing California's Energy Future" address before the Town Hall Los Angeles at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel on Oct. 25, according to a press release issued by Town Hall.

At that time, attendees will have the opportunity to ask O'Reilly about the state's energy needs and how his company plans to meet the demand.

"To sustain economic growth -- which has raised the quality of life for millions of people around the world -- we need to develop reliable, affordable supplies of energy in every potential form," O'Reilly said in a statement. "California, increasingly, is at the end of the pipeline when it comes to energy supplies."

Town Hall Los Angeles, a non-profit group made up of area leaders and citizens, hosts discussions to examine the issues facing society.
