Chevron Introduces Prepaid Rewards Card

DALLAS — Chevron USA Inc. introduced the Chevron and Texaco Xponent Rewards Card. This reloadable, prepaid card allows customers to save at the pump everyday, with opportunities to earn additional rewards for fuel purchases at participating Chevron and Texaco stations.

The Xponent Rewards Card has been introduced in Dallas, Miami, Tampa and Orlando, Fla., and Atlanta. Plans are to expand the program across the Chevron- and Texaco-branded retail footprint in the United States.

According to Chevron, the Xponent card is different from competitor reloadable, prepaid cards, as its cardholders do not pay annual, monthly or sign-up fees. In addition, there are no credit checks required.

“Chevron is always looking for innovative ways to provide value to its consumers and reward them for brand preference,” said George Wall, vice president of Americas Products East & Latin America. “This new loyalty offering rewards customers who are not interested in our traditional credit cards. They can earn additional rewards to use at participating Chevron and Texaco stations. Chevron anticipates expanding the program by adding other participating merchants to increase the reward opportunities for its loyal consumers.”

The Xponent Rewards Card offers an everyday reward of 5 cents per gallon on every fuel purchase when used at participating Chevron and Texaco stations. In addition, cardholders have the opportunity to increase fuel savings by using their card for purchases at participating merchant locations.

Chevron is also offering a new account bonus via a 40-cents-per-gallon reward on a cardholder’s first fuel purchase at participating Chevron and Texaco stations using their Xponent Rewards Card, up to 20 gallons.

The Xponent Rewards Card can be used everywhere Discover is accepted and is managed and processed by Marqeta.
