Circle K Offers Savings for Charlotte Racing Event

CONCORD, N.C. -- Thanks to participating Circle K convenience stores and Full Throttle Energy Drink, drag racing fans can save $8 on single-day tickets for the inaugural NHRA Four-Wide Nationals at zMAX Dragway, being held March 25-28, WhoWon.com reported.

From now through the event, fans purchasing a can of Full Throttle Energy Drink at participating Circle K c-stores can redeem the empty can at the Charlotte Motor Speedway ticket office or at the zMAX Dragway ticket windows, the Web site reported.

Single-day tickets for the event start at $25. When the discount is redeemed, fans can save up to 32 percent and pay $17.

The event features qualifying and eliminations for Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle, all run four-wide for the first time, instead of the traditional two-wide format, according to the report.

"It's going to be interesting for sure," Larry Dixon, two-time NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series Top Fuel champion, said in the report. "The only time I've ever raced four wide was at a track meet in high school. But, at the end of the day, whoever gets to the finish line first is going to win. If you keep doing that, you're going to win, whether it's against one or three others."

The Full Throttle/Circle K offer is not valid on children's tickets or on tickets that have already been purchased.
