Circle K Renews XYIENCE's Xenergy as National Brand


LAS VEGAS -- Circle K renewed its national brand agreement with XYIENCE's energy drink Xenergy for a second year. It will be available at 4,200 stores across the United States.

"Circle K is very excited about continuing a national relationship with XYIENCE in 2012," said Jim King, director of national procurement for the c-store chain operated by Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc. "XYIENCE has continually shown commitment to overall category growth, as well as taken steps in customer-first initiatives, and we have a great partnership together. Our partnership will continue to grow this year."

Circle K stores will offer different flavors of Xenergy based on regional preferences. Eight varieties are currently available.

"Signing a national brand agreement with Circle K in 2011 was a highlight of a successful year that included many national authorizations," said Rueben Rios, vice president of U.S. sales for XYIENCE. "The renewal of this agreement and Circle K's continued confidence in our brand reinforces that XYIENCE Xenergy is a national player in the category."

Since 2010, XYIENCE also has been a national brand for Alimentation Couche-Tard in Canada through its Couche-Tard and Mac's stores.

XYIENCE is the official energy drink of the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
