Clark Appoints New Directors
Clark Retail Enterprises Inc., which operates more than 1,300 On the Go, White Hen Pantry and Oh! Zone convenience stores, appointed three members to its portfolio. The new appointees add depth to the company's merchandising, real estate and petroleum marketing experience. They are:
* Frank Louis, director of petroleum supply and trading. Louis will be responsible for developing strategies to minimize petroleum product costs using the cash and futures commodity markets with multiple petroleum suppliers for all company-operated and branded gasoline stores.
* Richard Morzak, director of field merchandising. Morzak responsibilities will include developing and implementing national programs in the fresh food and convenience product areas for all company-operated and franchised gasoline and convenience stores, including identifying trends, developing merchandising standards and creating corresponding product mixes to enhance programs.
* Michael O'Brien, director of real estate. O'Brien is responsible for all real estate functions including property management and lease administration for all owned and leased sites, real estate participation in acquisitions and new-site development for all company-operated and franchised gasoline and convenience stores.
