CMi Solutions Completes PCATS Certification Program
CHARLOTTE, N.C.--CMi Solutions announces the successful completion of the Petroleum Convenience Alliance for Technology Standards (PCATS) certification program for their PriceBook Manager product. This certification validates that PriceBook Manager conforms to specific industry standards defined for interactions between the back office system and point of sale (POS) devices.
The purpose of the PCATS Conformance Testing Program is to create a level of confidence for retailers purchasing either POS or back office accounting systems claiming to support, comply with, or conform to standards as defined by PCATS. It also gives providers of POS and back office accounting systems assurance that their systems are capable of producing XML instance documents that conform to the use cases as defined by PCATS, and that only vendors who have earned the PCATS Certified logo may claim to support, comply with, or conform to PCATS-NAXML version standards.
"CMi Solutions has been involved with the creation of industry standards for many years and, as a founding member of PCATS, we recognize the importance of leading standards efforts that ultimately will result in greater efficiency and value for customers. This certification is one of the milestones in our continuing effort to improve our products and services for our customers," said Gregg Peele, CMi’s president and CEO.
PCATS was founded in September 2003 to continue the development and maintenance of standards work initiated under the National Association of Convenience Stores' (NACS) Technology Standards Project. With 160 retailer and supplier members, the group's membership represents more than 22,000 convenience stores. Membership is open to any petroleum marketer, convenience store owner/operator, other retail channels, or any of their suppliers or vendors.
