CoGo's Chain Names New President & CEO

PITTSBURGH  — CoGo's Co. named John Eby III as the convenience store chain's new president and CEO, reported the Pittsburgh Business Times.

He will succeed CoGo's founder Carl Colteryahn Jr., who is also Eby's father-in-law.

Eby most recently served as manager of information systems at The Kraft Heinz Co. He has also held positions with PNC Bank and Fore Systems.

As the new president and CEO, Eby plans to leverage his experience with zero-based budgeting and retail and foodservice marketing to position CoGo's in the competitive convenience store marketplace, the company said in a statement.

CoGo's has more than 50 c-stores, primarily in the southwest Pennsylvania region. It entered the c-store industry in 1962, but has roots going back to 1893 when William Colteryahn founded the first dairy of Pittsburgh, Colteryahn Dairy.
