Conexxus Names Ann Seki, Ann Dozier Technology Hall of Fame Inductees

ALEXANDRIA, Va. — Ann Seki, formerly of Chevron Corp., and Ann Dozier, formerly of The Coca-Cola Co., will be inducted into the Conexxus Technology Hall of Fame.

The Hall of Fame honors individuals who have who have distinguished themselves by improving the profitability of the industry through advancement of technology and technology standards.

“Ann Seki and Ann Dozier were tireless volunteer-leaders in improving our industry’s ability to overcome two very different challenges,” said Conexxus Executive Director Gray Taylor.

According to Conexxus, Ann Seki joined the Alexandria-based trade group in 2009 and quickly created the Data Security Committee, which ultimately reduced data risk in the convenience and fuel retailing industry, changing payment card industry compliance rules for all small merchants. The Data Security Committee remains vibrant today, and is tackling the challenges of EMV (Europay, MasterCard and Visa) and data security that lay ahead.

Ann Dozier is known as an early proponent of standards and direct-store delivery supply chain excellence.

“Ann brought the expertise of The Coca-Cola Co. to our organization and quickly developed a suite of electronic business-to-business document exchange standards that have greatly reduced supply chain costs in our industry,” said Margaret Akins of Pilot Flying J, chair of the Conexxus Board of Advisors. “Their commitment to advancing our industry is evident by their hard work and enthusiasm, which inspired us all.”

Seki and Dozier will be honored during a special ceremony at the Conexxus Annual Conference on April 27.

As CSNews Online reported last year, Jenny Bullard, chief information officer for Flash Foods Inc.; Henry "Hank" Armour, CEO of NACS, the Association for Convenience & Fuel Retailing; and Loring Perez, president of Chattahoochee Oil Co. were inducted into the Petroleum Convenience Alliance for Technology Standards (PCATS) Technology Hall of Fame.

During the 2014 PCATS Annual Conference, the trade group officially changed its name to Conexxus.

The 2015 Conexxus Annual Conference will take place April 26-30 at the Loews Annapolis Hotel in Annapolis, Md.
