ConocoPhillips Approves Dresser Wayne POS
AUSTIN, Texas -- ConocoPhillips approved the Dresser Wayne Nucleus point-of-sale (POS) system for implementation at Conoco, 76, and Phillips 66 fuel sites and convenience stores across the United States, the vendor reported.
"The Nucleus POS system is a powerful tool. It's enhanced merchandising capabilities can help to promote higher profit margin sales," Steven Van Vlack, Dresser Wayne POS sales specialist, said in a released statement. "Its intuitive interface makes it easy for store employees to use, and its all-inclusive price and durable infrared screen help to reduce total-cost-of-ownership."
Dresser Wayne is offering discounts for Nucleus POS-system installations through Dec. 31, 2010, to facilitate adoption of the Nucleus POS system as ConocoPhillips retailers upgrade POS systems to comply with Payment Application Data Security Standards (PA-DSS) and install POS systems at newly built sites, the vendor stated.
The Nucleus POS system is compatible with numerous fuel-dispenser brands, including non-Dresser Wayne dispensers, and supports revenue generation with sophisticated merchandising functionality, such as discount combinations and loyalty programs, according to the company.
