Convenience Overseas

LONDON -- With spring now sprung, sights are set to the summer and beyond including the next C-store innovation conference. The "Future of International Convenience Retailing" will take place in London from Sept. 15 to 18, 2008.

The conference will feature delegates from 20 countries who will join attendees in various progressive programs as well as studying two of the newest, most advanced c-store sites in the world, including the new Tesco Express and Somerfield.

Central London premium c-stores report some of the highest sales worldwide. The conference will, in part, provide a looking glass into the varied processes involved in attaining such success.

Speakers and presenters include Steve McDavid, Retail Marketing Director at SSP, Matthew Knowles from M&S, Jasper Wright, MD at Chop'd, Jerry Marwood, Managing Director at SPAR UK and Hamed Al-Naqeeb from Subway.

And an exclusive insight into SPAR UK's brand new multi-format Ostore and latest stores from retail director, Richard Bennett.

Senior convenience retailers and suppliers from the following 20 countries attended last year's event: UK, Ireland, USA, South Africa, Thailand, Denmark, Norway, Netherlands, France, Canada, Belgium, Czech Republic, Germany, Latvia, Romania, Argentina, Austria, Luxembourg and Iceland.
