Couche-Tard Stations Undergo LED Retrofit

10/18/2009
LAVAL, Quebec -- Hundreds of Couche-Tard convenience stores throughout Canada are undergoing an energy-efficient LED lighting retrofit. In partnership with Leotek and its Canadian distribution partner, Electromega, a wide range of products from Leotek's environmentally friendly General Illumination and Commercial Signage lines are being installed at each Couche-Tard location.

Products installed include the CL3 Cooler Light, CL3 Lite-Stik, CN1 Canopy Luminaire, LSF Soffit Light, LWS1 Wall Sconce, MR-16 and SLN Outdoor Luminaire. Among the benefits of Leotek's LED "Green Technology" are reduced power consumption and maintenance costs, according to the supplier based in Santa Clara, Calif.

Depending upon the product, power consumption fees can show reductions varying from 40 percent to 80 percent. In addition, maintenance requirements are designed to be minimal for at least 50,000 hours. All products include a standard limited 5-year warranty.
