CPD Energy Acquires 83 From ExxonMobil

NEW PALTZ, N.Y. -- CPD Energy Corp., headquartered here, has purchased ExxonMobil property assets and supply interests for 83 gasoline station properties in the Westchester County and Down State Hudson Valley areas of New York.

The 83 stations will remain Mobil branded, and will be operated as a combination of company, dealer, and supply facilities.

"These high-quality facilities fit well with our company's current demographic and long-term strategy of providing quality products and outstanding customer service to the motoring public."

All Mobil employees at the company-operated gas and convenience store locations, along with field personnel are expected to be take up positions with CPD. "We are looking forward to this important part of the current Mobil staff becoming an integral part of the Chestnut family and participating in our continuing business growth." added Jamal.

This deal adds to CPD's portfolio of more than 100 sites owned, operated and supplied in New York, Connecticut, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

CPD was founded in 1981 with one Mobil dealer location by entrepreneur Mickey Jamal. The organization has grown to include Jamal's brothers, Sal, Cal and Saleh, and is now one of the largest distributors of gasoline products in the Northeast, according to the company. CPD offers the Shell, Mobil, Gulf, and Sunoco brands and works with nearly 200 facilities.
