Crown Settles Air Quality Case

BALTIMORE

Crown Central Petroleum Corp. yesterday reached an agreement with the Texas Natural Resources and Conservation Commission (TNRCC) to settle a case involving emissions violations that occurred at its Pasadena, Texas refinery from 1995 to 1998.

Terms of the settlement were not disclosed.

Since Crown was first cited for emissions violations in 1998, the oil company has implemented, in coordination with TNRCC, several actions to address the violations. Crown's compliance record since 1998 has been exemplary, the commission said.

Headquartered in Baltimore, Crown operates 330 convenience stores in six states and two Texas refineries with a total capacity of 152,000 barrels per day
