CSNews 5th Annual Tech Awards Nominations Begin

NEW YORK -- Convenience Store News is now accepting nominations for its 5th Annual Technology Leadership Awards, recognizing industry excellence in technology and promoting the industry's continued advancement and use of technology tools and applications to further business success.
This year, the awards will be presented during a dinner at Convenience Store News' annual CIO Roundtable to be held this year, March 3 to 4 in New York.
The awards include Top Tech Executive and Outstanding Implementation, and both suppliers and retailers can submit nominations, which can be found at the below links. Save the documents to a computer, answer the questions and then send the document attached to an e-mail to [email protected]. The deadline is Jan. 24, 2008.
Last year's winner of Top Tech Executive was Devin Bates, senior vice president and CIO of Susser Holdings Inc., and Sheetz was honored with the Outstanding Technology Implementation award for its Z-Force Learning Management System using software from SumTotal Systems in Mountain View, Calif.
Previous Top Tech Executive winners include Jenny Bullard, CIO of Flash Foods Inc.; Art Whetstone, CIO of Calfee Co. of Dalton Inc.; and James Maxey, director of development and maintenance at Valero Inc.
