CSNews Extends Entry Period for Best New Products Awards
JERSEY CITY, N.J. — Convenience Store News is extending the entry period for its 20th-annual Best New Products Awards. Consumer packaged goods introduced to the market between April 1, 2015 and March 31 of this year may now be nominated in 45 categories through Friday, Aug. 5.
Only products designed for resale to consumers will be considered; no store equipment, fixtures or technology products are eligible. Entries will be judged by a panel of consumers on value, convenience, appearance and packaging, along with attributes such as taste and ingredients for food items.
Each entry must include three samples of the product; the receipt for its online entry and payment; any supporting documents; and logo and product shots. All entries should be sent to Susan Durtschi, CEO and president, Past Times Research, 77 Hudson Watch Drive, Ossining, NY 10562.
Winners will receive a crystal engraved award; coverage in the CSNews Show Dailies at the NACS Show and post-NACS Show issue; and the right to use the 2016 Best New Products Awards logo in all future promotion materials.

Last year, after a month of consumer testing, the votes were tallied and 25 winners were recognized by CSNews for bringing the best new products to the convenience store industry during the past year. The winning companies launched innovative products to meet an ever-growing array of consumer needs and desires. The products represented the latest trends of protein snacks, healthy bites, crunchy products, alternative waters, value pricing and 24-hour snacking.
