CSNews Garners More Editorial Excellence Awards
JERSEY CITY, N.J. — Convenience Store News is a finalist for both national and regional awards in two categories in the 2016 Azbee Awards competition, sponsored by the American Society of Business Press Editors (ASBPE).
ASBPE’s annual competition recognizes the hard work and commitment of business-to-business and professional magazine, newsletter and web editors and designers. The Azbee Award is a prestigious acknowledgement that the work has met high standards of excellence and is at the top of the profession. The society’s contest is extremely competitive and one of the largest U.S. business publication competitions.
CSNews’ editorial team will receive a gold, silver or bronze award in both the national and regional categories for Best Original Research for “Industry Report: Getting Their Fill,” published in June 2015. CSNews’ annual Industry Report is the longest-running, continuously published annual report on the health and performance of the convenience retail channel.
CSNews will also receive a gold, silver or bronze award in both the national and regional categories for Best How-To Article for “How To Use Loyalty Programs to Drive Foodservice Sales,” written by contributing editor Maureen Azzato and published in March 2015. This article is part of CSNews’ popular “How To Do World-Class Foodservice” series.
“It’s always nice to win awards — and we’ve won more than our share — but what I’m most proud of is the consistent, high-quality content produced by the CSNews editorial team on a day-in, day-out basis,” said Don Longo, editorial director of CSNews.
Last year, CSNews won gold and silver editorial awards in the Upper Midwest regional Azbee Awards competition, and took home a silver award in the national Azbee competition. CSNews’ parent company, Stagnito Business Information + Edgell Communications, is based in Deerfield, Ill.
Over the past eight years, CSNews has won 19 other media industry editorial awards.
