CSNews Launches 2009 CSNews at the Show Microsite

NEW YORK -- Convenience Store News' CSNews at the Show microsite dedicated to covering the industry's largest tradeshow is back for the 2009 NACS Show in Las Vegas, with even more information and resources.

Four years ago, Convenience Store News developed CSNewsAtTheShow.com to provide the entire convenience industry -- not only those retailers attending the conference -- the latest news and events occurring before, during and after the NACS Show.

Starting today, attendees can visit the site to find the best in Las Vegas restaurants, attractions and entertainment, golf, transportation and more -- all supported with directions provided through Google Maps. In addition, retailers can ensure they get the most out of the educational sessions they attend by prepping with the microsite's guide to the 2009 NACS Show educational sessions.

Meanwhile, retailers and suppliers who cannot attend the show can read detailed accounts of sessions and view images from the convention, all without leaving their desks.

The microsite also is home to a revealing, first-hand look at two noteworthy Las Vegas retailers. Green Valley Grocery, a 40-unit c-store chain, is focused on efficiency and growth. The Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market store in Vegas features all of the latest changes Tesco implemented to its hypermarkets since the chain first landed on U.S. shores in 2007.

In keeping with its tradition of being first to offer unique tools to keep the industry informed about the latest news and trends impacting the channel, CSNews is gearing up to provide as-it-happens news and information from the annual tradeshow through Twitter. Expect "tweets" on the latest show happenings, new products spotted by CSNews editors, parties and other industry events, as well as insightful thoughts by session speakers.
