CSNews Parent Stagnito Media Acquires Tesoro Business Media

DEERFIELD, Ill. -- Stagnito Media, the parent company of Convenience Store News, is adding to its business with the acquisition of Tesoro Business Media. Scarsdale, N.Y.-based Tesoro Business Media is the producer of Store Brands Decisions and Green Retail Decisions events and digital media.

Stagnito Media is the country's fastest-growing integrated media company serving food and non-food retailers. With offices in Deerfield, Ill., and Jersey City, N.J., the company publishes the industry-leading Private Label→Store Brands magazine and digital media, as well as other leading brands such as CSNews, Progressive Grocer, The Gourmet Retailer and Retail Leader.

Launched by John Failla in 2011, the Store Brands Decisions Innovation & Marketing Summit has rapidly become the premier event for the retail store brands market. The combined assets of Store Brands Decisions' event and digital media and Private Label→Store Brands' magazine and digital media will create a superior information franchise for the rapidly expanding retail store brands market. Green Retail Decisions will remain an independent brand complementing Stagnito Media's other retail brands.

Failla will join Stagnito Media as vice president of events.
