CSNews’ Sister Publications Hosting FMI Connect Contest
CHICAGO — Progressive Grocer and Retail Leader, two sister publications of Convenience Store News, will host the first-ever "selfie" Twitter contest at FMI Connect, taking place June 9-11.
In partnership with the Food Marketing Institute (FMI) and sponsored by The Coca-Cola Co., the contest will have its home base at the FMI Connect Buzz Center, located in the entrance of the show floor.
FMI Connect attendees can visit the Buzz Center during show hours on all three days of the annual food industry event, where they will be able to take selfie photos with oversized novelty covers of Progressive Grocer and Retail Leader. From there, participants are invited to post their photos to Twitter, tagging @pgrocer, along with the contest hashtag #PGRLCoverContest.
On Thursday, June 11 at 1:30 p.m., three winners will be randomly selected to each receive a $100 Visa gift card, which can either be picked up during the last day of FMI Connect or sent via mail following the show. To qualify, participants may only submit one set of selfies per person and they must follow @pgrocer on Twitter in order to receive a direct message if they are selected a winner.
Held at Chicago’s McCormick Place, FMI Connect is an annual event where food retailers of all kinds can find new ideas, products, partnerships and professional development. This year’s event is expected to draw 13,000-plus attendees.
Progressive Grocer and Retail Leader, along with Convenience Store News, are among the media brands of Deerfield, Ill.-based Stagnito Business Information.
