Cumberland Farms Kicks Off Cups for Kids

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. Cumberland Farms launched its fourth-annual Cups for Kids campaign, a month-long fundraiser that will benefit pediatric care programs at five hospitals throughout the Northeast.

During the entire month of August, 5 cents from every iced coffee or Chill Zone beverage purchased at specified retail locations will go to participating hospitals. The kick-off event at Fenway Park on July 30th brought in patients and families from each hospital for a private celebration and tour of Fenway Park before the Boston Red Sox vs. Chicago White Sox game later that evening.

“We created this initiative as a way for our communities to come together in support of the exceptional work that our hospital partners do to give our children the ability to lead healthy lives,” said Ari Haseotes, CEO of Cumberland Farms. “Our goal is to exceed our 2014 fundraising total of just over $100,000 so that we may contribute even more this year to support the incredible, life-saving work that these hospitals do.”

For the second year, Cumberland Farms will be partnering with Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center, a full service children’s hospital in Boston. A total of five hospitals in the Northeast will be participating in this year’s Cups for Kids fundraiser:

  • Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center
  • Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock
  • Albany Medical Center
  • Connecticut Children’s Medical Center
  • Barbara Bush Hospital at Maine Medical Center

Throughout the month of August, participating Cumberland Farms locations will track regional fundraising totals so customers can track the progress.
