WESTBOROUGH, Mass. — Cumberland Farms Inc. is at the top of its game.

The Massachusetts-based convenience store chain has received Great Place to Work Certification by the independent analysts at Great Place to Work.

Great Place to Work uses the results of a statistical employee survey, the Trust Index Employee Survey, and information provided by a company to analyze each organization and capture its employees’ workplace experiences in each Rating & Review. Ratings are provided in six areas that rate the quality of the company’s: challenges, atmosphere, rewards, pride, communication and bosses.

"Beyond providing competitive pay and extensive benefits, we at Cumberland Farms want our team members to find fulfillment, growth, and enjoyment at work," said Cumberland Farms CEO Ari Haseotes. "We are dedicated to delivering the friendliest, cleanest, and most convenient customer experience, by first creating a positive work environment — and The Great Place to Work Certification Program is an integral tool that will help us achieve that goal."

Cumberland Farms offers its team members a number of perks and programs, like free beverages throughout the workday and an additional gas discount when they use SmartPay, the retailer’s fuel discount and loyalty program.

The company was also praised for its tuition reimbursement, which offers full time team members the eligibility to receive more than $5,250 annually — or $2,625 for part-time team members. It is also praised for its healthcare coverage, which requires just 30 hours per week for part-time team members to qualify for insurance.

In addition, Cumberland Farms was recognized by the Obama administration for its use of technology in engaging and connecting team members to leadership through its Farm Feed Team Member App, according to Best Place to Work.
