Customer Demand Drives Parker's Newest Store

SAVANNAH, Ga. -- Parker's Corp. broke ground today on its new state-of-the-art convenience store. Located at the intersection of Highway 80 and Zeigler Road in Bloomingdale, Ga., the store is the company's 31st location and is expected to open to the public in June.

“We’re delighted to open a new location in Bloomingdale, where we received a number of requests from customers who live in west Chatham County,” said Greg Parker, president and CEO of The Parker Cos.. “Parker’s is the low price leader. We hope our latest store will exceed customers’ expectations, delivering competitively priced gas, the products customers want most and our signature attention to detail.”

The Bloomingdale store will offer signature Parker's items such as a gourmet coffee bar, fountain drinks with Chewy Ice, fresh-brewed iced tea, snacks and other quality products, noted the c-store retailer.

The Bloomingdale store will also feature LIFT Retail Marketing Technology, which the company said ensures quality customer service, and discounted gasoline via the 1-Cent Wednesday "Fueling the Community" program. On the first Wednesday of every month, Parker's sets aside one cent of every gallon of gas purchased to donate back to community schools.

Parker's other fuel program, PumpPal, offers discounts of up to 10 cents on every gallon of gas purchased, and has saved customers nearly $2.7 million since the program first launched in February 2011, noted the company.

Savannah, Ga.-based Parker’s currently operates 30 convenience stores across the region and plans to open additional locations in Chatham, Bryan, Liberty, Effingham, Bulloch, Jasper and Beaufort counties in South Carolina and Georgia.
