Customers Mobilize to Save Their QuikTrip Store

ST. ANN, Mo. – QuikTrip customers have mounted a Facebook campaign and "buy-in" to keep a store here in business, according to a Fox 2 Now report. Local residents told the news outlet that they rely on the St. Charles Rock Road QuikTrip for food, gasoline, jobs and tax revenue.

The store is expected to close on Sept. 6 as a test. If customers go to competitors' stores, the location will reopen. If they turn to other QuikTrip locations, including a "MegaQT" store scheduled to open nearby in Overland, Mo., the St. Ann store will close for good, the news outlet reported.

To save the store, customers are staging a buy-in today and tomorrow from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. in order to use their dollars to show QuikTrip how much the store is needed in the area. More information is available here on Facebook.

Tulsa, Okla.-based QuikTrip Corp. operates more than 650 convenience stores.
