If you could be another person for a day, who would you be and why?
The drummer from Los Lonely Boys, Ringo Garza, during an outdoor concert. I love the way he has flowing, jet black hair blowing in the wind (OK, itâs a fan, but it looks awesome) as he pounds on those drums. He looks and sounds so cool!
What is your favorite place to visit?
Chicago â it brings me back to a wonderfully challenging and rewarding time in my life. I love revisiting the DePaul bookstore. Of course, I have to catch a Cubs game and afterwards head over to the Kingston Mines to listen to some blues.
What hidden talent do you possess?
Iâm a pretty good snowboarder.
If you could eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Pizza â after all, itâs got all four food groups.
What is your biggest pet peeve?
Ignorance. The world is complex, and people are complex. Many people make a living by developing a sound bite-friendly opinion, and while it really just scratches the surface of this complexity, people eat it up. I wish people had the desire to go deeper, understand and develop their own perspectives.
What fictional character would you like to spend a week with?
James Bond (the current Bond, Daniel Craig), traveling through Western Europe, outrunning mysterious captors. Or just relaxing with James Bond on a Mediterranean beach. Yes, that sounds better.
What was the last thing to make you laugh out loud?
My husband. He makes me laugh every day.
If you were to change careers, what would you want to do?
I would definitely be a drummer in a rock band (assuming this question includes a skill upgrade).
