Dari Mart Grows With Store 44

EUGENE, Ore. -- Dari Mart, the convenience store chain affiliated with Lochmead Farms in Junction City, Ore., opened its 44th store in Eugene, reported The Register-Guard.

The 4,100-square-foot store is “a good commuter location,” according to Kathy Gibson, operations director for Dari Mart. “We’re always looking to grow,” she said. “We don’t want to be sedentary.”

The store has a drive-thru window -- the fifth Dari Mart with a drive-thru -- with espresso drinks, and the usual array of products inside, including Lochmead Farms dairy products, she said. In addition to a manager, the store will employ six to eight full-time workers.

The last store Dari Mart opened was in April 2009; the last store it built from the ground up opened five years ago.

Chambers Construction built the new store, which cost an estimated $275,000, Gibson said.
