Delek Closes East Coast Deal
Just a few days after completing its acquisition of East Coast Oil Co., Delek Energy Group said it has retained many key management members to continue leading the East Coast brand and its 36 Virginia convenience stores.
Among the management members joining Delek are John Tanner, regional vice president of operations; Deannie Wall, petroleum buyer; Pat McLaughlin, IT Manager; and Jenny Adams, now pricebook coordinator. Regional management will report to the Nashville headquarters of Mapco Express, a Delek subsidiary, which also was recently acquired by tge Israeli-based oil company.
More than 300 store associates also received job offers from Delek.
Industry veteran Dick Riley, who had served as president of East Coast Oil since 1993 and engineered the deal with Delek, said he would review his retail opportuniuties in the fall.
"We accomplished all our goals for East Coast in a relatively short period thanks to a talented, dedicated staff," Riley said. "I am pleased that many of those responsible for East Coast?s emergence will continue their careers helping the chain grow and prosper."
