Dr Pepper Extends 'One of One' Campaign for Another Year
PLANO, Texas -- Dr Pepper wants to know what makes you an individual. The carbonated soft drink brand this year continues its "one of one" ("/1") campaign, which highlights that individuals are not just one in a billion, but "one of one."
To celebrate the campaign's message, Dr Pepper today kicked off a new series of ads featuring "one of a kind people who break the mold," including Grammy-nominated hip hop stars Macklemore and Ryan Lewis; YouTube sensation and beauty entrepreneur Michelle Phan; Grammy nominee Romeo Santos; contemporary graffiti artist Retna; the first and only professional female bull rider in America, Maggie Parker; and world-record-breaking professional big wave surfer Garrett "GMAC" McNamara.
“Dr Pepper has a longstanding tradition of celebrating that special something that makes each and every person unique,” said Jaxie Alt, the brand's senior vice president of marketing. “We are excited to continue this tradition by celebrating some truly one-of-a-kind people who will inspire our fans.”
The first new “/1” spot, seen above, debuted nationally Jan. 1 and features a round-up of inspirational stories. Today, Michelle Phan’s ad makes its national broadcast debut, followed by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis’ on Jan. 20. Romeo Santos’ spot will premiere Feb. 10, and the rest of the ads will roll out over the course of this year.
