11/09/2012

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The National Confectioners Association announced that Duke University's head basketball coach "Coach K" Mike Krzyzewski will serve as keynote speaker for the 2013 Sweets & Snacks Expo.

Krzyzewski has coached the university's Blue Devils team for more than 30 years, leading it to four NCAA Championships, 11 Final Fours, 13 Atlantic Coast Conference championships and an NCAA-record 12 30-win seasons. He also coached the U.S. men's basketball team as it won its second consecutive gold medal during the 2012 Summer Olympics and was named "America's Best Coach" in 2001 by Time magazine and CNN.

As someone who has made a career of motivating people on and off the court, Coach K will speak about achieving victory through successful leadership at the Expo, according to the announcement.

The annual event for the confectionary and snack industry will take place on May 21-23 at McCormick Place convention center in Chicago.
