Eclipse Gum with Magnolia Bark Extract

Wm. Wrigley Jr. Co. is adding magnolia bark extract to its Eclipse gum and mints, to fight bad breath, the company stated. The extract is a natural ingredient proven to kill germs that cause bad breath, and the addition follows a 2007 study by the company that found the extract has germ-killing benefits, according to Wrigley. Eclipse gum with magnolia bark extract will appear on shelves this summer in Spearmint, Winterfrost, Polar Ice, Peppermint and new Fresh & Cool flavors, while Eclipse mints with the extract will follow in September 2008 in Spearmint, Peppermint, Winterfrost and Cinnamon Inferno, the company stated.
