Emerald brand of snacks added three varieties of oven-roasted peanuts to its line of snack nuts -- Emerald Wasabi Oven Roasted Peanuts; Emerald Chipotle Oven Roasted Peanuts; and Emerald Barbeque Oven Roasted Peanuts. The company’s unique roasting process leaves the nuts mess-free, as the flavor is baked into the nut, according to the company. The barbeque flavor combines sweet honey and smoky barbeque flavor, while the Chipotle variety features a hot, spicy Mexican flavor of chipotle chilies. The Wasabi peanuts offer a Japanese flavor with wasabi heat. This introduction marks the first time the company will distribute the three varieties of oven roasted nuts nationally. The nuts are available in on-the-go cup holder sized container that measures out a serving size 1.5-ounces of nuts, for a suggested retail price of $3.29. Other package options include a 1-pound Value Pack for a retail price of $3.49 and check-out 2.5-ounce pouches for 69 cents.
