Entry Period Extended for CSNews Top Women in Convenience Awards
JERSEY CITY, N.J. -- The entry period for Convenience Store News' new Top Women in Convenience awards -- the first such program in the c-store industry -- is being extended by a week. Nominations will now be accepted through Friday, April 18.
Women not only hold a significant percentage of the store manager positions in the convenience store industry, but they have also made great strides in upper management, breaking the glass ceiling in what was once a male-dominated business.
The CSNews Top Women in Convenience program seeks to recognize a diverse array of females in the convenience retail industry, including leaders, mentors and role models. The contest is open to retailer, wholesaler and supplier companies in the industry.
Nominees can include:
- Senior-level executives (job titles of vice president and above)
- Rising stars (job titles above store manager, but below vice president)
- Store managers
Based on achievements during the previous 12 months, nominations should illustrate a candidate’s innovative corporate initiatives; extraordinary financial and strategic accomplishments; astute problem-solving acumen; exceptional performance; and selfless charitable participation, among other attributes that go above and beyond the call of duty.
Judging will be conducted by CSNews in conjunction with the Network of Executive Women (NEW). Top Women in Convenience winners will be recognized in the June issue of Convenience Store News.
