Family Express Teams With PBS
VALPARAISO, Ind. -- Family Express Corp., a chain of 44 stores currently operating in Northwest and North Central Indiana, has engaged Ohio-based Performance-Based Selection Ltd. (PBS) to develop a comprehensive online employment-selection product. Other PBS clients include Sheetz Inc., Travel Centers of America and NACS.
At Family Express, the selection system will measure the critical attributes and attitudes that define the company's brand. It will outline a series of steps designed to gather information about an applicant’s attributes and attitudes, including prescreen measures, tests, personality inventories and behavioral interviews that are specific to the actual job.
"The online selection process will include managerial and non-managerial positions in retail operations, but it will not stop there," said Gus Olympidis, Family Express president and CEO. "Positions varying from tanker drivers to central distribution and food manufacturing associates will be screened for attributes, behavioral and leadership skills that we treasure as a company."
It is expected that the online selection protocol will be completed by May 31, 2005.
