07/22/2010

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- The Florida Petroleum Marketers and Convenience Store Association (FPMA) accepted the resignation of its president and CEO, Jim Smith. Smith, a member of the FPMA Hall of Fame, was active in the association as both a marketer member and its chief executive for more than 30 years, according to the Association.

“Jim has been one of the strongest advocates for the wholesale petroleum industry throughout Florida and on the national stage,” stated Ed Hinson, FPMA chairman. ”His leadership and invaluable contributions as a member of our board of directors and CEO are greatly appreciated and will be hard to replicate. On behalf of the entire membership, we wish him well with his future endeavors.”
