Fresh & Easy Debuts 27 Exclusive California Wines

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. -- Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market added 27 exclusive California wines to its existing lineup, the company said today.

"We set out to make premium wines at exceptional prices from several top-quality vineyards here in California," said Fresh & Easy's wine expert Richard Wherry in a prepared statement. "Each wine tells its own story, and we specially selected winemakers who share our passion for capturing all that we love about great California wines into every bottle we sell."

The new wines are sourced from vineyards in California's premium wine-growing regions including Napa Valley, Sonoma, Monterey and Santa Barbara, reported the company. They are priced from $3.99 to $19.99 and broken into seven new lines: I Heart CA, Wink, Pacific Coast Highway, Cloud Valley, WineWrights, Barrel Ranch and Open Field.

Fresh & Easy teamed with Santa Ynez Valley-based Terravant Wine Co. to create three of the new lines and produced a video about their creation. The company also posted a set of tasting notes for the new wines on its Web site.

The new wines join over 170 others available at Fresh & Easy, around 80 of which are exclusive with the majority selling for less than $10, according to the company.
