Fuel Rewards Program Adds Another Way to Earn
DALLAS — Consumers will soon be able to earn cents-off-per-gallon rewards at the pump at participating Shell stations by booking airline tickets, hotel rooms and rental cars.
Dallas-based Fuel Rewards is teaming up with Priceline Partner Network to offer the new rewards program incentive. To receive the fuel discounts, consumers need to book their travel arrangements via www.fuelrewards.com, which will launch a new website early this year.
Savings achieved in travel purchases can be combined with all other rewards earned through the Fuel Rewards program in an effort to save even more money at the pump.
The new partnership comes at a time when traditional opportunities for travelers, such as frequent flyer programs, are tightening requirements for earning and redeeming free trips, according to Fuel Rewards.
"We are thrilled to be working with the Priceline Partner Network on this new venture to give Americans even more ways to save on the cost of gas, so they can spend more on life — and on travel. We hope travelers will take full advantage of their fuel savings to help them pay for their leisure or business trips,” said Megan Flynn, executive vice president of business development for Fuel Rewards.
Formerly called the Fuel Rewards Network, Fuel Rewards is the creation of Excentus Corp. The program is utilized at more than 11,000 Shell-branded locations.
Priceline Partner Network is a wholly owned division of The Priceline Group.
