GasStations.com Launched as Convenience Marketplace

ST. LOUIS -- The convenience and petroleum industry gained an online service recently with the launch of GasStations.com -- a portal for gas retailers and c-store operators to buy and sell stores and equipment.

The free service was created by Terry Monroe, who is also president and COO of American Business Brokers, a national business brokerage company based in St. Louis as well as a financial columnist for Convenience Store News and Convenience Store News for the Single Store Owner.

"Right now, most people must visit multiple Web sites in order to find out what is for sale on the market. Our goal was to create a one stop shop for anything relating to the convenience store industry," Monroe said in a statement. "GasStations.com is the only industry-specific site where people can not only list their stores, but also list their equipment for sale too. And it's absolutely free."

To buy or sell on the site, visitors must register for free to create login information. Once registered, users can post descriptions or listing or the items for sale, along with contact information.

In addition, the site also offers a users' forum, allowing visitors to communicate with one another, along with search tools that allow visitors easy location of a specific item.
