Gate Petroleum Brings E15 & E85 to its Pumps

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Gate Petroleum Co. opened its first completed multi-blend gas station at 7099 Collins Road here, offering both E15 and E85.

Gate Petroleum, who received a biofuels grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, is working with Protec Fuel Management LLC to help install the dispensers at additional ethanol fueling sites in the state.

To celebrate its grand opening, Gate offered a fuel price discount, giveaways and activities. From 6 a.m.-6 p.m. on July 14, the company offered E15 fuel for 15 cents less than regular E10 gasoline pricing, and E85 for 85 cents less than regular gasoline.

"Gate is proud to offer our customers the broadest range of gasoline products in northeast Florida at our new, state-of-the-art store on Collins Road," said Mitchell Rhodes, chief operating officer for Gate Petroleum.

As for the choice of the automated fuel dispenser for this project, Gate chose the Wayne Fueling Systems Helix 3+1+1 dual blender fuel dispenser, marking the first time Gate Petroleum has worked with Wayne.

“The enhanced technology offered by Wayne allows for enhanced monitoring at the pumps, providing better service and a safer and more secure customer experience,” said Rhodes.

Wayne Vice President of North America Bill Reichhold added: “We’re excited to have the opportunity to work with Gate Petroleum and introduce the Helix dispenser at many of their sites."
