Get-n-Go Chain Streamlines Fuel Pricing With PriceAdvantage
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — Olson Oil Co. has selected PriceAdvantage software to automate and accelerate fuel pricing across its Get-n-Go convenience store network.
The 18-store chain chose PriceAdvantage, a fuel price management software company and division of Skyline Products, for its ability to help it price fuel more confidently and quickly.
"We've had our eye on PriceAdvantage for quite some time," said Olson Oil Controller Dave Vande Kamp. "It was simply a matter of timing. We were operating on an older version of the Gilbarco POS and once we upgraded, we were able to easily take advantage of the PriceAdvantage pre-built integration. Now, all of our critical pricing data is streamlined and I can price fuel faster with great confidence that I am making a sound decision."
The ability to select only the PriceAdvantage components Olson Oil needed to support its fuel pricing strategy made the product affordable and scalable, the retailer added. The chain plans to leverage the benefits of a cloud service model, including a low upfront cost, ease of implementation, and maintenance and infrastructure cost benefits.
"The team at Olson realizes that the speed and accuracy with which they price fuel is critical to their bottom line," said Skyline Products President and CEO Chip Stadjuhar. "Dave is using the mobile component so that he can price fuel from anywhere, anytime. This provides him a distinct competitive advantage."
Colorado Springs, Colo.-based PriceAdvantage creates "Software to Fuel Your Strategy," a solution designed to allow fuel marketers to execute unique fuel pricing strategies faster and more accurately.
Olson Oil owns and operates 19 Sioux Falls, S.D.-area c-stores, with another store on the way.
