Giant Eagle Selects Galleria for Planning Optimization
CHICAGO -- Giant Eagle Inc., operator of more than 220 grocery stores and 130 c-stores, has chosen retail automation and optimization solution firm Galleria Retail Technology Solutions to help with store-specific product assortment.
Galleria Retail Technology Solutions' Automated Micro Assortment Planner and Automated Micro Space Planner will deliver customer centric assortments, communicated through tailored, automated planograms to Giant Eagle's entire enterprise.
"We are excited to provide our merchandising teams with an advanced solution that enables the creation of customer-centric assortments," said Stephanie White, Giant Eagle vice president of sales systems and operations. "In addition, the ability to create automated store-specific planograms ensures that product inventories are optimized based on each store's unique sales patterns, improving availability and sales within each of our stores."
Giant Eagle executives expect to increase the regularity of category assortment reviews and better deliver against the strategies for each category and the organization as a whole. In addition, items within the assortments will better match customer requirements, resulting in improved sales and higher levels of customer satisfaction, the company said.
"We are driven to finding optimum ways to satisfy our customers while simultaneously improving inventory at the store level," White stated. "That way, we can continue to lower prices and offer continued better value to our customers."
