GIANT Opening Second Convenience Store

LANCASTER, Pa. -- GIANT Food Stores will officially open its second GIANT To Go convenience store at 8 a.m. tomorrow, the company announced. The 4,000-square-foot store is located at 2339 Oregon Pike in Manheim Township, Lancaster County.

"We gained valuable customer insight from our first GIANT To Go location, and this new GIANT To Go will deliver an expanded fresh variety of food coupled with all the traditional convenience store offerings," said Sean Michael, store manager. "Time-starved customers will find fresh and healthy meal alternatives prepared especially for them."

The new location was designed with three distinct shopping areas: Meals to Go, Groceries to Go and Snacks to Go. A variety of fresh and healthy food choices are available for breakfast, lunch and dinner, according to the announcement. Options include rotisserie and fried chicken made fresh in-store; a full salad bar; all-new subs with a toppings bar for customization; a coffee station with self-service espresso, a real cappuccino machine and flavor shots for fresh-brewed coffee; fresh sushi made daily; breakfast sandwiches; hot oatmeal; and hot soup.

More than 3,000 GIANT and national brand grocery items will be available for purchase, as well as snacks and traditional beverages for customers who stop in while purchasing gas.

"With this addition of our fourth fuel station in Lancaster County, we are pleased to offer another location and 12 pumps for our customers to redeem their Gas Extra Rewards," added Michael.

In a promotion that runs through June 25, for every $100 GIANT and GIANT To Go customers spend on groceries and out-of-pocket pharmacy expenses, they will receive a discount of 10 cents off each gallon of gas when they fill up through GIANT's Gas Extra Rewards program. A new promotion will begin June 26.
