G&M Oil Inks Deal With McLane for Supply Chain

TEMPLE, Texas -- G&M Oil Co., a Southern California convenience store chain with 167 stores, renewed its contract with McLane for supply chain services for its company.

"While working with McLane over the last nine years, we've experienced increased efficiencies and a 7 percent per year growth rate," George J. Pearson, G&M Oil Co. director of stores, said in a statement. "McLane's all-inclusive solutions have helped us easily roll out and sell a broad line of products, while supporting operations at competitive rates with less complexity than other options in the market."

The partnership began in 2000, and with the continuation, McLane's Southern California facility will continue to manage distribution of a broad line of products for G&M, including tobacco, center store, GMP, fast foods, deli and frozen products, the supplier stated.

"Optimizing the purchase, flow and sale of products is key to growing convenience store revenue in a down economy," Tony Frankenberger, vice president of merchandising at McLane, said in a statement. "Supporting a successful chain such as G&M Oil over the years has been a privilege and we look forward to supporting them as they continue to expand."
