Goetz Energy, CITGO Team Up With Buffalo Bisons
BUFFALO, N.Y. -- CITGO marketer Goetz Energy Corp. is teaming up with the Buffalo Bisons to offer "CITGO Fueling Good Wednesdays."
At every remaining Wednesday home game, CITGO and the Bisons -- the Triple-A affiliate for the Toronto Blue Jays -- will recognize a "CITGO Fueling Good Group of the Game." Eligible nonprofit organizations can email Goetz Energy for a chance to be selected. The recognition includes 100 free tickets to a select Wednesday Bisons game, as well as the ability to have a representative from the organization throw out the ceremonial first pitch.
"The Buffalo Bisons do a lot of great work for and with organizations in western New York and southern Ontario. Our partnership with CITGO complements our dealer's mission to have a positive impact in our community, and 'CITGO Fueling Good Wednesdays' will do just that," said Steve Jackson, manager of gasoline marketing at Goetz Energy.
Consumers can get in on the action as well. The Bisons are offering $3 off full-price tickets at the Coca-Cola Field box office in exchange for showing a CITGO credit card or a receipt from any independent CITGO dealer.
The Fueling Good Wednesdays promotion is available June 4, June 25, July 2, July 23, July 30, Aug. 13 and Aug. 20.
"We are happy to work with great corporate partners like Goetz Energy and CITGO to bring many worthy members of our community out to a ballgame at Coca-Cola Field," said Bisons Director of Corporate Sales Jim Harrington.
Goetz Energy Corp. is a marketer of diesel, fuel oils, gasoline and other petroleum products throughout western and central New York. Houston-based CITGO is owned by PDV America Inc., an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of Petroleos de Venezuela S.A., the national oil company of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
