GoPuff Transports C-store Delivery Service to Portland
PHILADELPHIA — On-demand delivery startup company goPuff continues to spread its service across the country. This time, it's ventured into Portland, Ore.
The delivery option launched in the West Coast city on Aug. 16, making it the 11th metropolitan area to offer goPuff, according to GeekWire.com.
In Portland, the company is including "numerous healthy and organic offerings," a spokesperson told the website.
GoPuff already operates in Austin, Texas; Boston; Chicago; Denver; New York; Philadelphia; Phoenix; Seattle; and Washington, D.C.
"At goPuff, we take convenience seriously and for us, it's about bringing you what you need, as soon you need it, with nothing but a few taps and 30 minutes in between. With goPuff, you carry a sleek and effortless convenience store, smoke shop and mini-mart right in your pocket," the Philadelphia-based company states on its website.
The on-demand service delivers products ranging from college essentials, party supplies and smoking accessories to snacks, frozen foods and household essentials at normal convenience store prices.
There is a $1.95 fee per delivery. Orders totaling more than $35 get free delivery. The company will also ship qualifying orders across the United States, with orders of more than $49 earning free shipping.
"Other services charge a $5 to $10 delivery fee and pose delivery times of an hour or more," goPuff founders Rafael Ilishayev and Yakir Gola said in a previous statement to GeekWire. "We can boast such a unique business model by employing smaller, strategically placed warehouses in the centers of metropolitan areas. The goPuff service is all about convenience and, in our opinion, waiting an hour for your goods for a steep delivery fee is simply not convenient."
