Hispanic Retail 360 Summit Announces New Conference Co-Chairs
SAN ANTONIO -- Hispanic Retail 360, a sister publication to Convenience Store News, announced that representatives from two of the largest retailers in the world have been named co-chairmen of the 2014 Hispanic Retail 360 Summit, the premiere cross-channel event that focuses on retailing to the growing Latino consumer in the United States.
Now in its 10th year, the Hispanic Retail 360 Summit has named Javier Delgado-Granados, senior marketing manager for Walmart Stores Inc., and Angel Colón, director of multicultural development for Kroger Inc., as co-chairs of this year’s event, to be held Aug. 13-15 in San Antonio. As co-chairs, Delgado-Granados and Colón have agreed to supply significant input and feedback on the programming of this year’s conference and to actively assist in recruiting speakers to ensure the agenda addresses the information needs of the retail community.
Javier Delgado-Granados
Delgado-Granados has 17 years of marketing and advertising experience at advertising agencies, consumer product goods companies and retail. During his professional career, he has a proven track record of developing marketing, advertising and promotional strategies, displaying strong leadership and sound judgment, while always showing respect for others.

He is also a veteran of the Hispanic advertising and communications industry, holding various key roles at agencies including DRAFTFCB, The Vidal Partnership, and Dieste, Harmel & Partners.
Delgado-Granados moved to the U.S. after graduating in 1996 from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogota, Colombia, with a bachelor’s degree in Communications and Advertising. He later attended the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University in Dallas.
Angel Colón
Colón joined Kroger in 2008 and has 26 years of service in the grocery industry. He began his career with Goya Foods in Puerto Rico and Chicago. In 1991, he joined The Kellogg Co. where he served 17 years in Chicago, northwest Indiana, northern Indiana, Wisconsin and Michigan. He served in many roles for both companies including warehouse clerk, product management, direct sales distribution, merchandising, sales, broker management, space management, account specific marketing, regional marketing, promotions and ethnic marketing.
He earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Business Administration, and is a Dale Carnegie graduate. Colón also loves to serve as a translator for his Hispanic church and teaches English as a second language.
Both Delgado-Granados and Colón are long-time members of the Hispanic Retail 360 Retailer Advisory Board, a group of leading marketing executives from across many retail channels, including grocery, convenience store, specialty store and general merchandise chains, which provides input on the conference agenda each year. The Retailer Advisory Board has been instrumental in keeping the event on point and relevant to all retailers.
