Hook & Ladder Beer

Hook & Ladder Brewing Co. is offering six-pack bottles of its brews -- Hook & Ladder Golden Ale; Backdraft Brown, a darker beer; and Hook & Ladder Lighter, a lower-calorie ale -- to the Northeast. Previously, Hook & Ladder beers were only available on draught. The company, started by a volunteer firefighter and his brother, will carry over its mission of donating A Penny in Every Pint to its retail products with the new initiative, A Quarter in Every Case. A Penny in Every Pint gives $4 from each barrel sold to local burn centers and firefighter burn organizations, while A Quarter in Every Case donates 25 cents locally from each case sold.
