Hundreds Participate in Atlas Text-to-Win Contest

TAYLOR, Mich. – More than 900 customers vied for the grand prize in Atlas Oil Co.'s monthlong text-to-win contest, which kicked off at the end of March and offered the chance to win a baseball suite package.   

Kay Laskowski of Pinckney, Mich., was awarded the grand prize of a 20-person suite for an upcoming Detroit Tigers baseball game. She accepted her award on May 14 at the Marathon gas station located at 5564 Woodward Ave., down the street from Comerica Park, home of the Detroit Tigers.

To enter the contest, participants had to make two visits to any Atlas-supplied gas station in southeast Michigan to receive a code word and text it to 31279. The first code word was available from March 31 to April 13, and the second was posted at the stations from April 14 to April 27. More than 900 participants submitted both code words and qualified for the grand prize.

"Atlas Oil Co. is actively involved in supporting the gas stations and convenience stores we supply, and we are always seeking new ways to reward loyal customers," said Atlas Oil President Mike Evans. "With baseball season in full gear, giving away a 20-person suite for the winner and their closest family and friends is an excellent way to celebrate Detroit pride and spring."
