Hunt Brothers Engages Social Media for Return of Buffalo Chicken Pizza

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Hunt Brothers Pizza is once more offering Buffalo Chicken Pizza during the month of March. This year, it celebrates the return of the pizza variety with a social media-based promotion.

"Our customers have been asking for us to bring back our Buffalo Chicken Pizza on our social networks for months, so we are going to deliver," said Keith Solsvig, Hunt Brothers’ vice president for marketing. "We are going to have a little fun by introducing an animated character that is part buffalo and part chicken on our Facebook page and engage the passion of Buffalo Chicken Pizza within our community."

The campaign launches today and introduces pizza fans to two hunters in search of an unknown species created by Hunt Brothers Pizza. The Buffalo Chicken is too elusive to end up on their dinner plate, but the Buffalo Chicken Pizza, which has 100-percent all-natural white meat chicken topped with a mixture of ranch dressing, Buffalo sauce and mozzarella and Monterey jack cheese, is available in convenience stores for a limited time while supplies last.

Consumers are encouraged to participate in bringing Buffalo Chicken Pizza back next year by sharing the animated videos within their social networks. The monthlong campaign will include regular status updates, such as animated videos, cartoon outtakes and fan engagement for Buffalo Chicken sightings, the company said.

Hunt Brothers Pizza, the nation's largest brand of made-to-order pizza in the convenience store industry, has more than 6,800 locations in 28 states.
