Illinois Senate Passes Blunt Wrap Ban
CHICAGO -- In a unanimous 45-0 vote, the Illinois Senate approved a bill earlier this week that would make blunt wraps, or individual tobacco wrappers used to make cigars, drug paraphernalia, RiverFrontTimes.com reported.
If approved by the House, possession of such a wrap -- whether in the form of a sheet or tube -- would be considered a misdemeanor.
The bill, SB3734, was introduced by Sen. Kwame Raoul, a Democrat from Chicago, in an attempt to fight drug use, according to the report.
